ARTS is not intended to be exclusive. It is a forum that includes professional artists, whether they have their own gallery or not, amateur artists, those evolving their talents, and those who, while not actively involved in producing Visual Arts, have an interest in the area.We are at an early stage in our evolution. We want to tackle three areas of activity to further our joint goals:- Organizing a series of varied events that inform and educate those interested in the visual arts throughout the season. The events might include illustrated talks on topics around the production, promotion and sale of visual arts, presentations and demonstrations of techniques. The events would probably take place at various studios and homes around Todos Santos. Profits from events would be directed to programs that support the development of local children’s interest and capabilities in the visual arts field.
- Providing access to a community gallery, staffed by knowledgeable ARTS volunteers, that displays and sells work produced by artists in the Todos Santos area.
- Creating and maintaining a website that details a calendar of events (ARTS sponsored and others), a listing of local artists, and other information of use to those who have an interest in the visual arts in the Todos Santos area.
